Manx Taekwondo recently held the first festival of the sport in the Isle of Man.
The local club hosted the three-day event at the National Sports Centre in Douglas, which included visiting UK clubs Spitfire Taekwondo, Living Well Taekwondo and Unite Taekwondo.
Guest of honour was Olympian Martin Stamper, who reached the semi-finals of the London 2012 Olympic Taekwondo competition and was a bronze medallist at the 2011 World Championships.
Martin will return to the island next year for a seminar with Manx Taekwondo.
The festival inspired some children in the crowd to have a go at taekwondo for the first time.
Organiser Rod Nielsen, from Manx Taekwondo, said: ‘It was a great three days, very successful and we hope to make it an annual event, bringing more people to the island each year.
‘We are away competing in the British Masters in London at the beginning of next month so this was great preparation for our students’.
Rod thanked all the parents, sponsors, Isle of Man Sport, the NSC and Alf Cannan MHK for the making the event happen.
