Michael George completed a Parish Walk and End to End double when he broke free of Richard Gerrard to win Sunday’s Ramsey Bakery-sponsored E2E.
The pair had matched strides for most of the way until George edged ahead about the 50km mark, shortly after Round Table.
Such was his pace in the closing stages that he finished 6min 38sec ahead of Gerrard, well inside the western course record in 6hr 24min 32sec.
Vinny Lynch finished third in 6:47.55, a minute-and-a-half ahead of Robbie Callister.
Janice Quirk was the first woman home in seventh place, producing a strong finish to overtake Michelle Turner.
