Mike Readshaw wins Ramsey Bakery End to End Walk

Douglas man completes 39.2 mile course in just under seven hours

MIKE Readshaw won Sunday’s End to End Walk by 17 minutes from second-placed man Stephen Harvey.

Despite a strong head wind Readshaw completed the 39.2-mile course in six hours, 57 minutes and 24 seconds, quarter of an hour inside his personal best for the event between the Point of Ayre and the Sound.

Harvey, who was also inside his personal best for the Isle of Man Veteran AC-organised walk, was runner-up in 7:14:47 with Dave Walker third a further four minutes down.

Janice Quirk was fourth and first woman in 7:19:39.

A total of 168 walkers completed the distance.
