Ramsey away at new boys Buxton
RAMSEY get their South Lancs/Cheshire Division Two campaign under way this Saturday with a trip to newly-promoted Buxton.
For those unfamiliar with the name, Buxton is in Derbyshire, just to the south east of Manchester.
The side, along with Wallasey, were promoted from South Lancs/Cheshire Division Three last season and will be looking to prove their worth early on against a Ramsey side which narrowly avoided relegation.
Ramsey welcome back Max Singer this season. The big second row has had a year or so out with work commitments but is now back to add some power to the set scrummage.
He may struggle fitness wise this Saturday though after picking up a shoulder knock in a pre-season friendly last week.
Max’s return has to be put in context with departures.
Ali Trace, Matty Meechan and Jarred Callister have all secured university places and will be heading off on their studies very shortly.
Matty Kelly looks set therefore to gain a regular place in the side, while Mikey Craine has also been training hard and if he maintains this he should also be a regular fixture in the first team.
