Ramsey take on Moore

Have your say

THE gentlemen of Moore are the visitors to Mooragh Park this weekend as Ramsey aim to kick-start their South Lancs/Cheshire Division Two campaign.

A disappointing defeat against Ruskin Park two weeks ago will need to be put firmly in the past and the visit of Moore could be just the ticket.

Moore have gotten off to a mixed start themselves. An impressive win away at Dukinfield in week one gave them a flying start but they faltered last weekend and went down 28-10 at home to Ruskin Park.

That result should give Ramsey some encouragement as they were within a whisker of beating Ruskin.

Hopefully the Ramsey team should be back to full strength. Skipper Davide Mazzone is likely to return to the front row which should see Peter Verrall return to the hooking berth with debutant hooker Craig Walmsley likely to be relegated to the bench, provided his calf strain has cleared up.

Outside the scrummage, the backline which did so well against a hard-running Ruskin side should be fully fit and will be looking for good quick ball to use the running surface at the Mooragh to its full potential.
