Sue Denney and Rolls Silver Spirit are the Supreme World Trials Driving Champions of 2014.
They won three gold medals at the Scurry and Trials Driving World Championships, held at Sandringham in September.
Sue and ‘Roly’ are now back in the island after a brilliant year of competing.
In addition to the world championships they took part in nine national British scurry and trials driving events, winning all nine, including the selection events, and eight championships.
Their crowning glory was undoubtedly winning at the world championships. Sue took the individual gold medal, the England team gold medal and the overall individual gold medal.
Sue and Roly won the two qualifiying heats, taking them to the final where they produced a perfect clear round in the fastest time.
The pair had been at the top of the Three-Day Driving Trials for a decade, but as Roly is now 22 years of age Sue introduced him to this discipline last year and he has really excelled.
The backsteppers during the year were Kelly Lawrence and Simon Willis.
