MANX tenpin bowlers Diane Moore and David Hill have returned after representing the Island in the prestigious AMF Tenpin Bowling World Cup.
A total of 86 nations took part in the week-long event in Slovenia where Moore finished 65th in the women's division.
Considering this was her first international event, it was an excellent performance during which she recorded a high game of 190.
Hill, who has bowled in the World Cup twice before, finished in 49th spot with a high game of 239 and an overall average for his 24 qualifying games of 191.29.
The winner of the women's competition was the USA's Lynda Barnes, who averaged 235.2 over the whole competition, while Canada's Michael Schmidt took the men's event with an average of 232.5.
Following its postponement from November 27, the next competition in the Isle of Man will be the Little and Large on Sunday, December 11.
The Christmas Singles will be held on Tuesday, December 27 and will also incorporate the qualifier for the European Gold Cup to be staged in Luxembourg, May 7-13 2006.
Entry forms for both these events are available at the bowling centre or from Viv on 474758.
