TARGET shooter Rachel Glover claimed an impressive third gold medal of the week on Wednesday.
Shooting with Lara Ward, who she won her first gold of the week with on Monday, the pair won gold in the NSRA 100 yard prone rifle shoot. Glover, who also won individual gold in Tuesday’s 50m prone rifle event, and Ward finished 10 points ahead of second-placed Jersey with Gotland in third.
Girl power continues to rule in the island’s clay shooting team as well with Clementine Kermode-Clague securing her second victory of the week in Wednesday’s women’s individual universal trench competition.
The former King William’s College student, who shot at last year’s Commonwealth Games in Delhi, finished one clay ahead of silver medalist Sally-Anne Stay from hosts the Isle of Wight. Stay’s compatriot Pauline Wilson was third.
