Three out of three for Manx sides

ALL three Manx sides competing in South Lancashire and Cheshire Division Two got off to winning starts on the opening day of the rugby season on Saturday.

In addition to Douglas defeating newly relegated Ormskirk comfortably at Port-e-Chee, Vagabonds hung on to win 24-28 away at Oldershaw while down in Derbyshire, Ramsey beat newly promoted Buxton on their home patch.

Five penalties from Fintan Cummins gave them a 15-6 lead with 10 minutes to play.

A late try from Buxton brought them back into range but Ramsey were able to hold on.
