Vagas kick off against Oldershaw
SURE-sponsored Vagabonds kick-off their 2012-13 South Lancashire and Cheshire Division Two campaign this Saturday with the tough task of a trip away to Oldershaw.
The Manx outfit had a tough battle last season away against the robust big English pack.
However, Vagas will be hoping that quick ball can be secured to release the rapid backline that will be waiting.
The impressive preseason form of Matty Williams’s sees him get the nod in the scrum-half jersey.
The stand-off/centre axis will have a balanced look to it with the running skills of Aidan O’Shea coupled with the big hitting Mark McGreal.
Up front new skipper Mark Howarth will pack down at the base of the scrum and look to get over the gainline at every opportunity.
This is a game Vagabonds will certainly be looking to win and get their season off to a flyer.
