Vagas take on Glossop

Have your say

l VAGABONDS return to South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One action this weekend when they entertain Glossop RFC at Ballafletcher, writes Jonathan Beckley.

Glossop currently sit down in ninth place in the league standings, but last weekend they recorded a impressive 45-3 win over fourth-placed Liverpool Collegiate.

Vagas will be especially confident after their away performance at Bowdon where they lost out by a single point despite scoring five away tries.

James Hammal will look to carry on this try scoring run and hope to get ball in his hands as much as possible. Inside Hammal, Jake Coates returns to partner Ross McCulloch in midfield, while up front Danny Kermode looks set to return to the boiler room after missing last week’s away trip.

In what promises to be a open encounter Vagabonds will certainly be expecting to put in a good performance and take the four points on offer.

Glossop, however, will travel to the island full of confidence and the game promises to be a spectacle for any supporter looking to venture up.

Kick off at Ballafletcher will be 2.15pm.
