Valkyrs are whiter than white
WHITE House Valkyrs A maintained their unbeaten record with a 4-1 victory over IoMA Bacchas B on Saturday.
Ollie Webster led the way for the westerners with a brace, Andrea Kneen and Greg Miller adding further goals as the defending champions claimed both points on offer. John McCarrick netted the only goal for the Tromode side.
CLW Falcons suffered a blow to their title aspirations as they were defeated by IoMA Bacchas A. In a match which looked to be heading for a draw, Jamie Brown struck the killer blow two minutes from time to seal the win for Bacchas A.
White House Valkyrs B secured their first points of the season with an impressive 5-1 victory over Collins Stewart Ramsey A.
Vic Ferns and Steven Lowe netted two apiece, Jonathan Hull rounding off the scoring with a single strike. No details of the Ramsey scorer were received.
Mixed Division One
Celts made it two wins from two with a 4-1 victory over Cammags. Paul Kelly led the way for Celts with two goals, with further strikes added by Don Stewart and Mark Corlett. Sam Spooner netted a late consolation goal for Cammags.
CLW Saxons maintained their unbeaten record with victory over IoMA Bacchas C in the lunchtime match at the NSC. Goals from Dave Millward, Simon Foster and two from Jonny Killey proved enough for Mark Dougherty's side.
Ravens emerged the right side of a five goal scoreline to claim victory over HQ Harlequins A.
Iain Wood, Lowri Bamber and Simon Renton found the back of the net for the northerners, while Stuart Gell and Alex Cave replied for Harlequins.
Mixed Division Two
Cushags emerged victorious from their derby match with Southerners as they maintained their unbeaten start to the season.
Rachel Hall opened the scoring for Cushags just before half-time and goals later in the game from Paul Harris, Paul Wiseman and Graeme Brown sealed both points for Cushags.
CLW Kestrels sealed back-to-back victories with a 5-0 victory over IoMA Bacchas D. Captain Ian Perry led the way for Kestrels with a hat-trick, further goals added by Ken Carney and Chris Hyde.
White House Valkyrs D claimed their first points of the season with victory over Rookies.
Graham Shimmin grabbed the lion's share of the goals for the westerners with three and Mark Osborn added a further strike. Gary Merrill and Paul Cannan netted for Rookies.
Mixed Division Three
Honours ended even between Iomtoday Fat Cat Cabs Cosney and White House Valkyrs Colts as both sides secured their first point of the season.
Neither side was able to find the decisive touch in front of goal to claim the win.
The points were shared when CLW Vandals met HQ Harlequins B. Jon Emery and Dani Kelly netted for Vandals with Pete Godwin scoring both goals for Harlequins.
IoMA Bacchas Colts emerged comfortable victors in their match with Saracens B, netting on six occasions while maintaining a clean sheet. Unfortunately no details of the Bacchas scorers were received.
