THE final round of the Isle of Man Centre solo road race championship takes place at Jurby Motodrome this Sunday.

Joe Faragher currently leads with 99 points from Mark Madsen-Mygdal 88, Jamie Meechan 77, defending champion Roger Maher 73 and newly crowned 600cc club champion Colin Collister on 60.

Dave Molyneux and Ben Binns are already assured of the sidecar title, but the meeting could well be heated up if Michael Dunlop and Dan Sayle do manage to gain a late entry as hoped. At the time of going to press this was still uncertain because of transport costs.

The Andreas Racing Association meeting is likely to start around 1pm.

l Ramsey MCC’s Steve Beattie Memorial Trial forms round five of the solo Centre championship this Sunday.

The event will start 9am for 10 from Glen Helen and include a similar runaround course to last year with groups at Eairy Beg and Ballig plantations, Glion Gill, Brandywell banks, Nobby’s, Shaughlaigue and Little London.

l Entries for round five of the Isle of Man Centre ACU motocross series at West Kimmeragh on Sunday, September 30 will be taken at the Crosby Hotel on Wednesday, September 26 between 7.30 and 9pm. Postal entries to Jan Henry, 12 Clybane Rise, Farmhill, Braddan.

l Round five of Manx Trials Club’s Azzy Paints pre-65 series takes place on Saturday, September 29 at Cooil Slieu, Greeba.
