CASTLETOWN resident Jonathan Rea scored two top-10 finishes in Sunday’s two World Superbike races at Silverstone.
In poor, showery conditions, Rea battled back from an early mistake to finish a very creditable fourth on his factory Honda in the day’s opening contest. Rea then finished the afternoon’s second 18-lap race ninth after another off.
The Ulster man remains fifth overall in the championship standings heading into the series’s 11th round in Russia on August 26.
