Dan Kneen will sit out this year’s Isle of Man TT races after consulting with doctors over his recent arm injury.
The Manxman suffered the injury at the beginning of May after falling off his mountain bike and had to sit out the North West 200 following surgery.
The 28-year-old has been working hard on his recovery ever since, undergoing intensive physiotherapy sessions as well as daily visits to the Hyperbaric Chamber.
With practice for the TT due to commence this Saturday, Kneen underwent a medical with Dr Gruff Evans on Tuesday afternoon but unfortunately the TT chief medical officer deemed him not to have recovered sufficiently to compete.
Kneen will now focus his attentions on being fit for July’s Southern 100 races.
