History maker Ian Hutchinson needs further operation on badly injured leg
TT history maker Ian Hutchinson is set to miss next year’s event after another operation on his badly injured leg has left him facing another lengthy recuperation period.
Hutchy hoped to ride for Swan Yamaha at next year’s event, but the news that he needs a further op on the left leg that was originally broken at the end of the 2010 British Superbike series has left him targeting a return to the roads on 2014.
The Bingley Bullet, who rode to sixth in this year’s second Supersport TT, hopes this latest operation will prove a final fix to the leg that he broke again in February this year after falling awkwardly on an off-road bike.
