Another busy period is drawing to a close for Ramsey’s community choir, the Summer Singers.

During the past six weeks, the choir, under the direction of Mavis Quirk, has given concerts in Kirk Michael, Laxey and Douglas.

The final concert of the season will be on Friday, August 21, in St Paul’s Church, Ramsey, at 7.30pm. It will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of Ramsey Commissioners.

The evening will feature guests Dr John Snelling (baritone) and Gareth Moore (organ).

Admission is free, but donations will be welcome and go to Ramsey Cottage Hospital League of Friends.
