AS the summer comes to an end, the Centenary Centre has announced its new Films in Peel schedule for you to enjoy on the cold autumn and winter nights.
The varied programme takes place every other week at 7.45pm (doors open at 7pm) on Wednesdays.
However, to accommodate another booking, the first film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (12A) will be screened on Friday, September 14. Tickets for this film are now on sale at Celtic Gold in Peel.
Thereafter the programme returns to the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. On Wednesday, September 26, the centre will present the modern silent award-winning film The Artist (PG). Tickets are available in Celtic Gold now.
Then on Wednesday, October 10, Wild Bill (15) will be screened. On Wednesday, October 24, it is The Angel’s Share (18). On Wednesday, November 14, it will be 70s classic Saturday Night Fever (15). Your Sister’s Sister (15) will be screened on Wednesday, November 28. And on Wednesday, December 12, the centre presents a Christmas special with It’s a Wonderful Life (U).
Tickets for this year’s season still cost £4 or £3 for concessions.
Tickets are available at Celtic Gold or on the door unless sold out. Reservation tickets are also available at Shakti Man in Ramsey and Thomson Travel in Port Erin but no longer in Douglas, although a new outlet is being negotiated.
Refreshments are available to buy while you wait to go into the hall. For more details email filmsinpeel@manx.net
