The island’s DJs have been competing throughout March to try to be crowned the ultimate winner of Tahiko’s Battle of the DJs competition, and the deciding round will take place at the Tahiko nightclub tonight (Friday).
The six finalists fighting it out for the title are Wrongo (aka Lee Wright), Matt Gibbs (aka Matt McGidney), Blairhouse Project (Paul Blair), Marc Barron, Adam Cain and Collaboration (Warren Spencer and Andy Wilko). Each of the finalists will DJ for 45 minutes on Friday night, being judged on their DJ abilities and the reaction of the crowd.
The winning act will be announced at the end of the night, and will take home a prize of £100 cash and regular DJ slots at Tahiko during 2014.
Sefton Group marketing manager Nicola Wilkinson said: ‘The knockout rounds have given us some really exciting nights at Tahiko over the past few weeks, and we are looking forward to crowning our winner this Friday.
‘The Isle of Man clearly has some incredible DJ talents, and we are pleased to have been able to provide a platform for acts to showcase their efforts to an enthusiastic crowd.
‘We are sure that our six competitors will provide some fantastic sets this Friday, and we encourage clubgoers to come and cheer on our finalists and enjoy the night.’
The Battle of the DJs final will take place from 10pm until 3am. Entry before 11pm is free, and £3 after 11pm.
