A teen band will launch their single in the island on Sunday.
EverYoung first visited the island on December 1 last year when they were invited Junior Achievement.
They visited schools and sang in The Strand Shopping Centre, Douglas.
The band, who are signed to EMI, now have more than 30,000 followers on Facebook.
Coming as part of their UK tour, all the members of EverYoung will be in the Strand Shopping on Sunday from 2pm to meet fans and sign copies of their first single, ‘You Got Me’, which they will then perform live on stage outside the centre.
Copies of their single will be on sale at HMV from 11am on Sunday.
The CD single will be on sale for £2.99 and extra supplies are being sent over for the launch.
EverYoung are two boys (18-year-old Eyal and Jack) and two girls (Cherelle and Hollie, both 19) who met at school. They have spent the last two years performing at schools, clubs and theatres around the country and writing their debut album. With more than 150 school performances under their belt.
‘You Got Mw is one of the first songs we wrote together and is fun and catchy, full of harmonies which are a huge part of our sound,’ said Cherelle.
The band recently spent a week in Spain filming the video.
Eyal said: ‘We had the most amazing time bringing our song to life in the sunshine and riding beautiful horses across the desert. Hollie had never ridden before so she was petrified and Jack ended up in hospital after having an allergic reaction to a sting but it was still incredible fun and one of the best things we’ve done together. And we all love the video!’
They remember their performance in the Isle of Man last year fondly.
‘We’d performed at two schools and a shopping centre and were then asked back to play our own show which was brilliant,’ recalled Jack. ‘When we left, hundreds of screaming girls were at the airport to wave us off. It was like something you see on the TV!’
Not only do the band write their songs, they choreograph their routines and always sing live.
‘Whether we are accompanied by a full band, a backing track or an acoustic guitar, singing live is so important to us,’ said Hollie. ‘We are a live vocal harmony group and work really hard at nailing our harmonies.’
Their first TV appearance was on Live with Fern Britton on Channel 5 and the group has already been interviewed on numerous local radio stations.
A Manx team has worked hard to be able to get EverYoung over for the signing and the stage to be put up for the performance.
John Shakespeare, manager of the Strand Shopping Centre said: ‘The idea of doing the launch on the island was only signed off last week so we have been battling against time but everyone has been very supportive and I would like to thank EMI Records, HMV, Peter Young from Event Solutions, Junior Achievement Isle of Man, Douglas Development Partnership, the Steam Packet, the police and the courts.
‘The last time EverYoung came into the Strand they were very popular and this time with the erection of the stage outside everyone will be able to join in and see the performance.
‘It is also great that EMI and EverYoung have chosen the Isle of Man for the launch.’
