The Embassy Jazz Club, based in the British pub, is being a hailed a success by its audiences.
Organiser David ‘Scotty’ Williams said: ‘Both the inaugural evening in February and second evening in April were a sell out.
‘The second evening was sold out in February just two weeks after the inaugural night.’
Scotty asks guests to leave feedback after their evening and some of the feedback includes; ‘what a great evening, lovely ambience and great music’, ‘a brilliant night, nice to hear some lovely jazz in an intimate setting’ and ‘great setting, great atmosphere and very nice music played by a great house band’.
The nights are currently held bi-monthly, but with them selling out so fast and demand so high Scotty thinks that there may be the need to make the event a monthly or even 6 weekly one.
He says: ‘We have a few things in the pipeline for the rest of 2014 including a mini island tour over four weekends and four different locations, one North, South, East and West.
‘We would be very happy to hear from anyone that would be interested in having The Embassy Jazz Band in their venue with a view to helping us provide jazz across the island and giving people the chance to come and relax and enjoy some fantastic music.
‘There is also talk of arranging a larger event later in the year which will hopefully be a black tie sit down three course meal and jazz music event to raise funds for charity.
Scotty’s next event will be on June 1, Mad Sunday. He has been working with the British Hotel and they will be providing food at the event.
Tickets are £20 per person and include entry to the Embassy Jazz Club, a choice of 1 to 3 southern dishes, paella, cajun chicken or vegetable curry with beer or wine.
Indigo Blues will be providing music along with The Embassy Jazz Club House Band.
