TICKETS for a newly announced Jimmy Carr gig are now on sale and likely to be snapped up quick.
With brand new material, the king of deadpan one-liners will stop off in the island on September 4, 2013 as part of his tour Gagging Order’.
The show promises to be packed with one-liners, stories and jokes - some clever, some rude and a few totally unacceptable.
Therefore tickets are for over-16s only.
Following his Laughter Therapy tour at the end of last year, this will be Carr’s eighth tour of Britain.
The comedian, who was at the centre of a tax scandal story earlier this year, has sold more than a million DVDs and has hosted countless TV shows. He is perhaps most well-known for hosting comedy panel show 8 out of 10 Cats on Channel 4, which is based on opinion polls.
He has also won 10 awards including a Royal Television Society Award and he’s even featured in five films, including Stormbreaker, which was partly filmed in the island.
But live comedy is what he does best and this is your chance to find out for yourselves. The show, which takes place in the Villa Marina Royal Hall, starts at 8pm.
Tickets cost £25 per person and are available from the box office on 600555, at the Sea Terminal Welcome Centre or online at www.villagaiety.com
