Manx film Waking Ned will be screened tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30pm at the Erin Arts Centre, Port Erin.
The Erin Arts Centre’s I Love Film Series, as part of Island of Culture 2014, is screening 10 classic Manx films during the year.
It starts with Waking Ned, which will be introduced by Mike Reaney, business development manager for film and creative industries with the government.
Entry on the door is £5 for adults £5, under-18s £1 (no need to book in advance). Doors open half an hour prior to performance. Wine, hot and soft drinks are available beforehand.
Other films to be shown are: February 26, Me Without You, 2.30pm; March 26, Blackball, 7.30pm; April 30, Relative Values, 2.30pm; May 28, Keeping Mum, 7.30pm; July 30, Miss Potter, 2.30pm; August 27, Stormbreaker, 7.30pm; September 24, On a Clear Day, 2.30pm; October 29, Wild Target, 7.30pm; November 26, Chico & Rita, 2.30pm.
I Love Film screenings are in addition to the centre’s community film series, which is screened on the second Wednesday of each month at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. The first of which is The Great Gatsby, on February 12.
