Steaming hot food and festive fun is on the menu at Isle of Man Railways.

The dining car can now be booked for Christmas lunches or dinners for various dates running from November 28 to December 21, providing a Pullman-style experience on the steam railway.

Additional dates for Sunday lunches are also available on October 20 and November 3 leaving Douglas at 11.50am or Port Erin at 1.50pm.

The Tickethall chef proprietor Steve Quirke can cater for small and large parties up to the 44-seat capacity of the steam train’s dining car.

He said: ‘Our supper club fine dining nights at The Tickethall are fully booked so I am very pleased to be able to extend our services by offering Christmas party specials and Sunday lunches on the dining car.

‘People can book either two or three course meals and enjoy eating them on the steam train.

‘We use only the finest Manx produce and we have a selection of 14 wines to choose from plus a cocktail bar on board to enable people to celebrate any occasion in style.’

The Christmas menu is now available from The Tickethall and on the website. Meal prices are £6.50 for appetisers, £11.75 for mains and £5.50 for desserts plus £15 for train travel from Douglas.

Sunday lunch costs £29 per person including return travel from either Douglas or Port Erin.
