A Manx food producer has been shortlisted for a UK award for its plant-based popcorn.

PopCornaa’s Sriracha Soul popcorn has been named as a finalist in the Plant Based Snacking category at the 2026 UK Quality Food & Drink Awards.

The product is one of four entries shortlisted in the category, which recognises plant-based snacks intended for between-meal consumption. The awards assess products against criteria including taste, texture, flavour, aroma, ingredients, provenance, appearance, packaging, value for money and innovation.

PopCornaa founder Emily Tse said the recipe for Sriracha Soul had been developed and refined since 2021, adding that the recognition was particularly significant because of the time spent developing the recipe.

Sriracha Soul is a sweet and spicy popcorn product and forms part of PopCornaa's range of plant-based snacks.

PopCornaa was founded in 2023 and specialises in gourmet popcorn featuring Asian-inspired flavours. Its range includes sweet, savoury and umami combinations, with products marketed as plant-based snacks.

The business has previously exhibited at the Royal Manx Show as part of a showcase of Isle of Man food and drink producers.

The company has also supplied products to Woodbourne Deli in Douglas, which has promoted locally produced food and drink alongside products from UK suppliers.

PopCornaa's range includes flavours such as Seaweed, Wasabi & Soy, Asian Mango and Litchi & Strawberry, alongside Sriracha Soul. The company's website also describes several of the range as gluten-free and made without artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives.

The business has already received recognition at the UK Quality Food & Drink Awards, with its Asian Mango product winning silver in 2023 and its Seaweed, Wasabi & Soy flavour winning gold in 2024.

Sriracha Soul is currently available from The Good Health Store in Port Erin, through PopCornaa's website and via Amazon Prime.

The winners of the 2026 UK Quality Food & Drink Awards are due to be announced later this year.
