The Manx SPCA is urging pet owners to get in touch if their furry friends have gone missing after being spooked by fireworks.
The charity says it’s already received several reports of dogs bolting in fear over recent nights, with some still unaccounted for.
Details of the missing pets are being shared on the Manx SPCA’s Facebook page, where people can also comment if their own pet has disappeared.
The charity is also asking the public to keep an eye out for any loose dogs. If you spot one, they advise trying to calmly befriend it, if it’s safe to do so, or contacting the dog warden on 686688 between 9am and 4pm for assistance.
So if your pooch has pulled a Houdini after the fireworks, the Manx SPCA wants to hear from you.
We hope they all return safe and sound.
