A Douglas provider of finance and tax advice has become one of the first business to take part in a new initiative launched earlier this year by the St John Ambulance.

Sovereign Trust (Isle of Man) Limited has adopted an ambulance in the charity’s life-saving fleet.

The firm has donated £3,000 to help the organisation deliver its commercial and charitable services across the island.

St John Ambulance Isle of Man is an independent Manx charity that is entirely funded by donations and their commercial activities, with monies raised being invested back into the organisation.

A spokesperson for the charity said: ‘With operational costs steadily rising, the funds will help keep the ambulance and other vehicles fully equipped, maintained, and on the road.

‘As part of the agreement, Sovereign Trust (Isle of Man) Limited’s logo has been placed on A401 to proudly showcase its support of St John Ambulance and the “Adopt an Ambulance” fundraising initiative.

‘Vehicles like this ambulance are vital to the charity’s operations, helping it provide medical cover at major island events year-round.’
