A 74-year-old Douglas man has denied three counts of indecent assault.

He cannot be named, unless convicted, due to the Manx Government's anonymity laws.

The man appeared in front of Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood on July 28 entering three not guilty pleas.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between 2004 and 2008 and involve the defendant allegedly licking, touching and digitally penetrating the complainant's vagina.

The man was represented by advocate Stephen Wood.

Both the prosecution and defence agreed that a trial would have to be heard in the Court of General Gaol Delivery.

Committal proceedings will take place on September 29.

Bail continues.
