A man accused of wounding with intent to commit murder has had his committal to the higher court delayed.

Taylor Jake Murphy has previously denied burglary, stealing a car, possessing a knife, and theft.

But pleas to the wounding charge, as well as two counts of robbery, can only be entered at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.

He was due to be committed to the higher court on April 14, but on April 7, a court heard that evidence is still awaited.

The committal date has now been changed to April 28.

The offences are alleged to have been committed on October 5 and 6 at Maughold and Port Cornaa.

The 20-year-old, of High View Road in Douglas, is remanded.
