A Douglas man has admitted assaulting two police officers.
Jonathan Hynes, of Castlemona Avenue, will be sentenced on October 27, after a probation report has been prepared.
The court heard that Hynes was arrested, initially in relation to another matter, on Queen’s Promenade in Douglas, on September 14.
However, he struggled with two female officers, then rammed his body back towards them, forcing them into a parked car.
Hynes broke free and ran off, but then tripped himself up, and two civilians helped to restrain him.
One officer suffered minor abrasions, while the other had bruises and a cut.
Hynes, whose age wasn’t given in court, was represented by advocate Andrew Baker.
Bail was granted with a condition not to leave the island.
