Eight-year-old Amelia Kneen was among the big winners at this year’s St John’s Produce Show, taking home four awards.

The annual event was held at St John’s Methodist Hall last weekend, with more than 900 exhibits entered across the different categories.

Produce, arts and crafts, confectionery and flowers were among the sections competing for prizes.

Organisers were particularly pleased with an increase in the number of entries this year, especially those submitted by children.

Amelia enjoyed an especially successful show, collecting four awards for her entries.

She won the Clarke Cup for Most Points in Children’s Confectionery and the Gillian Lace Memorial Cup for Best Biscuits in Children’s Confectionery.

She also picked up the John Kinrade Memorial Cup for Most Entries in Children’s Confectionery and the Perkin Cup for Best Art Exhibit.

Two charities also received donations from the event.

Mandy Karsa represented Great North Air Ambulance, while Maureen Cowbourne attended on behalf of Age Concern Isle of Man.
