The Peel Produce Show will return this weekend following a successful debut last year, with organisers expanding the competition for 2026.

The event will take place at the Corrin Hall in Peel on Saturday, August 1, as part of Yn Chruinnaght, the Isle of Man's annual festival of Celtic culture.

After attracting support from both the local community and festival visitors during its first year, organisers have increased the number of competition classes to 53. Categories include home baking, crafts, brewing and home-grown produce.

The expanded schedule also retains a number of classes from the original 1925 Chruinnaght Vanninagh Ashoonagh produce show, reflecting the event's historical roots.

Certificates will be awarded to first and second place in each class, while the best entry in each category will also receive a voucher donated by local businesses.

Yn Chruinnaght chair Jo Callister said: ‘Alongside the traditional Manx produce show favourites, we've introduced Celtic-themed classes that celebrate the six cultures at the heart of our festival.

‘The show forms part of our ever-popular Saturday Gathering, a day filled with music, dance and cultural performances from local performers and visiting artists all within and around the grounds of Peel Cathedral.’

Entry forms are available in this year's festival programme, which can be picked up from outlets across the island, including the Welcome Centre in Douglas and Peel Town Hall.
