The Port St Mary Cabaret Party will present its production of the classic children’s fairy tale ’Mother Goose’ at Port St Mary town hall this weekend with two shows on Saturday, February 15, from 7.30pm, and on Sunday, February 16, beginning at 2pm.
The pantomime features many of the usual Cabaret party actors, including David Shaw as Mother Goose who is befriended by a magical golden egg-laying goose, played by Gwenyth Brunt.
Among the other characters are Dr Foster, played by Lawrence Vaughn-Williams, Little Beau Peep, who is played by Sarah Smiley, Humpty Dumpty, played by Ivan Wade and a sparkling turn as a purple fairy by Lawrence Watterson.
Director Lulu Gillow said that they had also gained some new cats members from elsewhere.
’All the regular members of Port St Mary Cabaret Party are taking part in the panto this year, but what is really lovely is that we have some members of a fellow pantomime group, the Peel Pantoloons, also taking part,’ said Lulu
’We are deligh’ted to have them here.’
