An appeal has been launched to track down an e-bike, laptop and various tools stolen from a Douglas building site.

Isle of Man Constabulary says ‘extensive enquiries’ have been carried out following the theft last month but the items remain outstanding and no arrests have been made.

The items were taken from the building site in the central Douglas area between Friday, September 18 and the early hours of Sunday, September 20.

A force spokesperson said: ‘Extensive enquiries have been carried out and remain ongoing. Officers are now appealing to the public for their assistance.

‘The following items were taken and are identifiable by serial numbers, a black Cube Women's e-bike, a Dell Latitude 3500 laptop, a DeWalt cut-off saw and 9Ah FlexVolt 18V-54V battery, a DeWalt site radio, a DeWalt circular saw, a DeWalt multi-tool, a DeWalt reciprocating saw, a DeWalt cordless angle grinder and a DeWalt cordless SDS drill.’

Officers are urging members of the public to keep an eye out for items being sold online which meets the description of any of the items.

The police spokesperson said: ‘Officers are keen to speak with anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation.

‘In particular, police would like to hear from anyone who has been offered the stolen items for sale, has seen them advertised online or elsewhere, or has information regarding their whereabouts.’

Police have provided photos of what the e-bike and laptop looks like in case they are spotted being sold.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212, quoting investigation reference 97/6297/26.
