Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer enjoyed a high-speed taste of Manx sidecar racing when he took to the Jurby circuit as a passenger alongside four-time TT winner Ryan Crowe.
The special experience took place during on Saturday’s Jurby Day, which was rescheduled following changes to the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT racing programme.
Government House said Sir John described the ride as ‘totally exhilarating’, as he held on tightly while being thrown around the demanding circuit.
He was also able to once again meet legendary TT rider John McGuinness MBE, who attended as a spectator.
