A large digital advertising board could be installed at a roundabout at Isle of Man Airport.

Carrera Media Group Ltd has submitted a planning application for the billboard at the first roundabout on the approach to the airport, which it says would generate revenue for the Ronaldsway facility.

In its planning statement, the applicant says: ‘This proposal outlines a fully privately funded, long-term infrastructure investment that introduces a high-quality digital asset at a key gateway to the Isle of Man.

‘The scheme will generate a sustainable new revenue stream for the airport while enhancing the visual and commercial environment of Ronaldsway.

‘The project requires no capital contribution from Isle of Man Airport or the Department of Infrastructure.’

The application will be considered by planners in due course.
