Isle of Man Steam Packet sailings are likely to be cancelled and flights could also be affected as gusts are forecast to reach 55mph across the island.
The fourth named storm of the season is expected to hit Northern Ireland and Scotland hardest, with heavy rain and even blizzards forecast in some parts of the UK.
The strongest gusts are expected to reach the Isle of Man between around 3pm and midnight.
‘The winds will gradually strengthen throughout Saturday. We are not sure of the exact timings just yet but we expect the storm to arrive at around 3pm to 4pm on Saturday and continue until midnight.
‘That will cause issues and boats will almost certainly not sail during that period, while there could also be issues with flights.
‘Gusts could reach speeds of 50 to 55mph which will affect areas right across the island.’
More widely, Good Friday should be largely fine with rain first thing before brightening up with isolated showers and highs of 10C.
Saturday will start off fine before the winds begin to build with occasional bouts of rain. Highs of 11C are expected.
It will be cooler on Sunday with highs of 9C, but it will also be brighter and the winds will continue to ease. Monday should also be more settled with highs of 12C.
The Steam Packet has already put six sailings at risk. They are the 8.30am Manxman sailing on Saturday from Douglas to Heysham and the return journey at 2.15pm; the Manannan sailing on Saturday from Douglas to Liverpool at 5.45pm and its return journey at 8pm; and the 7.45pm Manxman sailing on Saturday to Heysham with the return at 2.15am on Sunday.
