Motorists can expect some disruption in Douglas city centre this week while repair works are carried out on Lord Street.

The Department of Infrastructure says work on the raised tabletop at the Duke Street and Market Hill junction got underway on Tuesday.

The repairs will be carried out in stages to allow for curing times and are expected to take two to three days.

Temporary traffic lights will be used, with two-way traffic maintained throughout the works.

The Department has said the traffic light arrangement may remain in place for up to four days if required, including in the event of unforeseen delays or adverse weather.

Some delays are expected, particularly during peak travel times.
