The 2026-27 Isle of Man hockey season gets underway this weekend with a full programme of mixed league action on Saturday.
With 29 teams entered across four senior divisions, the growing numbers reflect the continuing popularity of hockey across the island, with two brand-new squads making their league debuts in Mixed Division Three: Ramsey Robins and Valkyrs Colts.
Combined with seven teams competing in the Mixed Under-15 League, no fewer than 36 teams in total will contest the mixed season, with most set to get their 2026-27 campaigns underway this Saturday.
Mixed Premiership champions Bacchas A will begin the defence of their title with a clash against Castletown Celts at the NSC on Saturday morning, while newly-promoted Division One winners Valkyrs B begin life in the top flight with an inter-club derby against their A team in the late pushback at QEII in Peel.
