TT legend John McGuinness will once again team up with Dean Harrison at Honda Racing UK next season.

The pair will build on a hugely successful 2026 roads campaign which saw Harrison claim victories in both the Superbike and the red-flagged Senior TT races.

Harrison will also move into the Superbike class in the British Championships having finished fourth in the British Supersport series this year.

The team said this will give the Ballaugh resident maximum seat time on the all-new 2027 Fireblade ahead of the North West 200 and TT.

Speaking after the news was confirmed on Tuesday morning, 37-year-old Harrison said: ‘My performance at the TT in 2026 was, in my opinion, the strongest I’ve ever been.

‘The confidence that gives me for next year should not be underestimated.

‘I have no worries at all about developing the new Fireblade to suit my style and I can’t wait to see how we cope with the demands of a new bike.

‘My crew chief Stew Millen and our data man Bob Grey are excellent, we work really well together and I know that we’ll be in a good place.

‘Having John as a team-mate only improves our outlook for 2027.

‘I think we work really well together and I’m proud to share the awning with him again.

‘Aside from being mates, there’s a lot of experience to make use of from both of us. This lifts the mood in the Honda camp and we all benefit from feeling positive.’

The 23-time TT winner added this week: ‘I’m really pleased that I’m staying with Honda for 2027.

‘We were fast in 2026 and if the weather had played ball at the TT, we’d have had more seat time.

‘It wasn’t to be though, so to be heading back as team-mate to Dean and with an all new bike to race is fantastic. I have my 100th race start at the NW200 to look forward to as well, it’s going to be an excellent year for road racing.’

Team manager Scot Hargreaves said: ‘Dean and John did a fantastic job representing Honda Racing in 2026.

‘Dean’s success was a highlight for the whole team and John’s experience, commitment and consistent performance are something we really value.

‘Having those two riders come together to build the perfect new Fireblade for road racing gives us the assurance that we can be competitive from day one and enjoy our racing.

‘We have a formidable rider line-up in all classes next year, I’m confident we’ll have a great year.’

Harrison will be joined in the factory BSB team by Ryan Vickers and reigning champion Kyle Ryde who has left the Nitrous Competition Ducati team following his latest success.

The latter has been the series’ man to beat in recent years having also won the title in 2024 and 2025.

Next year’s TT will take place between May 25 and June 6.
