The Isle of Man's Lesley and Rodger Sleight competed in the English Field Archery Association National Championships over the weekend.

The nationals was held at Merlin Field Archery Course near Ashby de la Zouche in Leicestershire.

Lesley became the adult women's traditional recurve champion, breaking two course records along the way.

On the Saturday she broke the hunter round record by 19 points and on the Sunday the field course record by seven points. The island archer already held the field course record.

Rodger shot very well with season best scores to take second place in the veteran men's traditional recurve.

The pair would like to thank Bushy's Brewery for enabling Bowderyn Vannin archers to train in their glen.
