A strong entry of 244 riders have entered this weekend’s Manx International Classic Trial.

The event starts from Peel quayside for the first time at 8.30am on Saturday with the first group of sections in the quarry at the rear of the hill, opposite the castle.

Following groups are at Knockaloe, Ballacallin (Gordon), Carnagrie (9.30) and Ballaspit (9.50). Other groups are at Slieau Whallian plantation, Cooil Slieu (Greeba), Eairy Beg (Glen Helen - 11.20), Ballahimmin, Little London (11.55), Cronk Aashen, Ballacorlett, Cronk Bane (1pm) and Ballakaighen (Staarvey road) and Lhergydhoo on the Switch Back at 1.40. Remember these are the estimated time for the first riders on the road.

Sunday starts on Ramsey’s Mooragh Promenade at 7.30am, with groups at Glen Duff quarry, Mount Karrin, Tholt-y-Will plantation (8.30), Tholt-y-Will quarry, Cronk Garrow, Ohio plantation 10.15, Sky Hill and Brookdale plantation, Gooseneck Breck (midday), North Barrule, Ballacreggan (Snubby’s) and Dreemskerry (1pm).

Leading riders include last year’s winner James Harland, Juan Knight, George Emmott, Kiaran Hankin, Phil Houghton, Stephen Murphy and Darren Wasley.
