A Peel man has been convicted of drug dealing after he was caught with £952 worth of cannabis and £300 in cash.
Ryan Benjamin James McCurrie, of Duke Street, pleaded guilty to possessing the drug with intent to supply and possessing the proceeds of crime.
The 20-year-old will be sentenced and has been committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery to appear there on June 16.
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes told the court that the case would have remained in summary court but the money could only be confiscated by an order made in the higher court under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Prosecutor Mark Benson told the court how a search warrant had been executed on March 22 at an address in Head Road, Douglas, where McCurrie was living.
Police found a locked box containing 180 grams of cannabis, scales and the £300 cash.
In a police interview McCurrie admitted that he had been selling the drug to close friends to help with his day to day living.
