After more than a decade of helping Manx residents transform their homes into spaces for relaxation and wellbeing, family-run business Roberts Leisure is celebrating a major milestone with the grand opening of its brand-new showroom this weekend (August 1 and 2).
The Roberts family, who have spent the past 11 years building the Isle of Man's leading family-run wellness retailer, are preparing to welcome customers to their new showroom at F6, Eden Business Park, Cooil Road, Douglas.
The opening marks an exciting new chapter for the business, which has become synonymous with premium hot tubs, saunas, swim spas and wellness products, all backed by local expertise and family-run service.
The business was born from a personal experience.
After enjoying a hot tub at the family's holiday home in Canada, the Roberts family were inspired to bring that same feeling of relaxation home to the island.
What began as an idea has since grown into a trusted local business, with co-owner Luke Roberts working alongside his father and close friend.
Luke, who studied Business Studies at the Isle of Man International Business School, said remaining independent and family-run has always been at the heart of the company's success.
‘What sets us apart is our experience and our physical presence here,’ he said.
‘We have 11 years of knowledge and are proud to be the longest running wellness retailer in the island.
‘Instead of only looking at pictures online, people can come down to our physical showroom to touch and feel the products. It means they can sit down, have a zero-pressure chat with an expert, and know exactly what they are getting before making a choice.’
Unlike many national retailers, Roberts Leisure offers a fully local service from start to finish.
The same people who welcome customers into the showroom are often the ones delivering, installing and maintaining their products for years to come.
Luke said: ‘Because we’re a family business, our ethos is basically to act as a "helpful friend" who just happens to have all the technical know how. We deliberately avoid that pushy salesperson stereotype.’

The company has spent the past 11 years operating from its White Hoe Industrial Estate showroom in Douglas before making the move to its larger premises at Eden Business Park, giving customers more space to experience its expanding range.
Among the newest additions to Roberts Leisure's range are outdoor saunas and ice baths, reflecting the growing demand for home wellness and contrast therapy.
The company now offers an extensive selection of products, including hot tubs (with saltwater options available), swim spas, wood-fired hot tubs, indoor and outdoor saunas, ice baths, outdoor kitchens, BBQs, kamados, garden furniture, and pergolas.
