Pancakes with a monster may seem a tad unusual but that is exactly what greeted members of Peel Youth Club this past week.

Val Goldie, who runs the youth club, decorated her face to resemble the mythical creature the Buggane, which according to legend terrorised the Manx countryside and tore the roof off St Trinian’s church in Marown.

After being greeted by the terrifying sight, the children at the club made their own pancakes, all while dressed in their pyjamas.
