Bus Vannin has warned of possible disruption to some services due to an increase in staff sickness.

The operator said its team was working to cover services affected by a rise in staff sickness over the past 12 hours.

Services at risk are being reviewed, with efforts being made to provide cover ‘as quickly and efficiently as possible’ and minimise the impact on passengers.

Bus Vannin said the potential disruption is currently expected to affect services from late afternoon today (Saturday) and throughout Sunday.

A spokesperson from Bus Vannin commented: ‘The team are working hard to resolve this and will update no later than 3pm for today and 6pm for Sunday services.

‘We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank the patience of our customers as well as the efforts of those staff out there delivering the service.’
