A Douglas law firm has been highly ranked in the Chambers and Partners 2026 High Net Worth guide, with two of its private client team receiving ‘Band 1’ status.

Simcocks Advocates feature in the guide which is an independent annual publication that ranks top law firms, lawyers, and non-legal professional advisers.

Launched in 2016 by London firm Chambers and Partners, it focuses specifically on the private wealth market for wealthy individuals, families and family offices.

Law firms and individual lawyers are ranked on qualities including technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment and other traits valued by the client.

In reference to the Manx company, the guide said: ‘Simcocks always shows in-depth understanding and has the ability to deal with complex matters.’

Simcocks has a dedicated trusts team for both non-contentious and contentious matters, acting for both corporates and private clients.

The team work on the creation, administration and restructuring of trusts and foundations, advising a mixture of corporate trustees, high-net-worth families and individuals. They also liaise with the firm’s litigation department on contentious matters relating to trusts.

Chief executive Phil Games, who is head of the private client team at Simcocks, received a Band 1 ranking.

Kevin O’Loughlin has consistently topped the rankings over the years, with feedback highlighting his expertise and exceptional customer service.
