The firm formerly known as the ManSat Group, River Advisers, has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Rachel Beattie and Dr Jennifer Stone to its board.

The company, which was co-founded by Manxman Chris Stott, is a specialised regulatory consultancy firm for the global space and satellite telecommunications industries. It runs an annual scholarship competition for island high-school students to attend the United Space School in Houston.

Rachel Beattie, chief financial officer and chief operating officer, joins the board after playing a pivotal role in the company's operational growth and strategic development over the last six years.

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), she brings extensive expertise in finance, governance and organisational leadership.

Dr Jennifer Stone, chief strategy officer, also joins the board, bringing internationally recognised expertise in satellite spectrum management, international coordination and space policy.

She leads River Advisers' Spectrum Strategy and International Coordination practice, advising clients on international regulatory frameworks and engagement with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Alexis Martin, chief executive officer of River Advisers, said: ‘Rachel and Jennifer have each made exceptional contributions to River Advisers and their appointments to the board reflect the knowledge, leadership and vision they bring to our business.

‘With the space industry entering a new era of innovation and growth, and regulatory frameworks continuing to evolve worldwide, these appointments ensure we are well positioned to help our clients navigate change with confidence while continuing to deliver the strategic advice for which River Advisers is renowned.’

Rachel said: ‘I am delighted to join the board at such an exciting time for River Advisers. We have built a strong reputation for helping clients solve complex regulatory challenges, and I look forward to supporting the next phase of the company's growth.’

Reaching an impressive 10-year milestone with the company in 2025, Jennifer added: ‘Innovation in the space sector is creating extraordinary opportunities while also increasing regulatory complexity.
