A 29-year-old man has admitted criminal damage after smashing a glass panel in a door in Ramsey.
Michael William Kaighin, of Michael Street, Peel, was at an address in Albion Terrace on April 14.
He was asked to leave but initially swore, verbally abusing the occupant, before leaving.
However, 20 minutes later, Kaighin returned and started kicking a door.
He then punched a glass pane, shattering it. Police later arrested him and he was taken to the hospital with a hand injury.
Defence advocate Jane Gray said that it had been a reckless act, rather than the defendant intending to break the glass.
Sentencing was adjourned until June 11, while a probation report is prepared.
Bail has been granted.
