Emergency services responded to an incident in the Baldrine and Laxey area after a suspicious substance was found in a package.
The Isle of Man Constabulary said the incident happened at about 2pm on Tuesday, October 6.
A multi-agency response was launched as a precaution while enquiries and specialist assessments were carried out.
The substance was subsequently assessed and found not to present a risk to public safety.
Police said the incident was isolated and there was no risk to the wider community.
A Constabulary spokesperson said: ‘We would like to thank members of the public for their patience and cooperation whilst emergency services conducted their enquiries, as well as our partner agencies for their assistance.’
The force has not provided further details about the substance or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
